What we look for in a clothing manufacturer
Apparel is a category with many real manufacturers and even more resellers. On 1688 and Alibaba the same model often appears in ten shops at ten prices. What differs is who actually sews it and from which fabric.
For clothing sourcing in China we start from your segment, volume and budget. We compare several factories, order samples and show you the offers side by side. We deal with manufacturers directly, so the price you see at the quotation stage has no extra links in the chain.
A good request has photo references, the fabric quality you want, quantities per colour and size, and the destination country. If you only have an idea, send it anyway. We will find similar models and compare them for you.

What we check at the factory
An inspector does not only count cartons. The batch is compared with the sample you approved.
- Material and colour against the reference and the colour card
- Stitching: seams, thread, edge finishing, fastenings
- Sizes against the size chart, measured on the garment
- Labels, tags and the packing of each unit
- Carton packing and shipping marks
Chinese size charts often differ from European ones, so we begin with a comparison: which height and chest measurements you need and which size that is at the factory. You receive photos and video of the batch before it ships. If we find a deviation, we settle it with the factory while the goods are still in China.
Documents, shipping and payment
For children's clothing and footwear your market may require proof that materials are safe. We help find out which documents your market asks for and look for factories able to provide them. We do not certify anything ourselves.
Shipping depends on volume. Small batches suit LCL, large ones a full container (FCL). Air takes 7–15 days, sea and rail up to 45 days. We can arrange DDP delivery with the paperwork included.
Ready-stock goods are paid in full. Production to order is 30% at the start and 70% when the goods are ready. Factory search with a sample costs $100–300. The commission starts at 10% and goes down with volume. All terms are collected in the FAQ.
Questions about sourcing clothing from China
What is the minimum quantity of one model?
The minimum order is $2,000 and 50 units. If you take 10–20 different items from one supplier, we can discuss an exception. The exact minimum per model depends on the factory and the fabric.
Can I order clothing with my own logo?
Yes. We agree the logo on the label, tag or packaging with the factory and check how it was applied before shipment.
Why do sizes not match European sizes?
Chinese size charts usually run smaller. We compare sizes by measurement, not by the label, and recommend ordering a sample of each size.
Do you source branded goods?
No. We work with unbranded goods and do not infringe the rights of other owners.
How long do production and delivery take?
Production time depends on the model and quantity, and we give it in the quotation. Air delivery takes 7–15 days, sea up to 45 days.
